Pandelela Rinong & Borneo Love

Hi there!

Two weeks had passed and I'm back to campus, safe and sound. Thanks be to God :) I had wonderful times with my family, the most.

And the greatest among all those times was MEETING PANDELELA RINONG PAMG! Oh myyyyy! Our darling diving queen was in town (Kuching) since she's coming home last week with the other two national divers, Bryan Nickson Lomas & Tracy Vivien Tukiet. They received huge love from the Kuchingnite who had spared their quality time to welcome them at Kuching International Airport. Thumbs up for #twtupPandelela for making such a massive home welcoming! Sadly I didn't make it. Sob3.

I thought I had missed the only chance to see her in person until I read BORNEO LOVE's update on Friday and I was sooooooo excited that I still could meet this wonderful Olympian diver while I was in town. Woot woot!

I was the earliest to woke up on last Saturday begging my family to go with me to see her. Kekeke. My dad sometimes tried to discourage such request but he would fulfilled it anyway. Hehehe. So, off we went to Sarawak Plaza where the Greet & Meet-The-Fans session with Pandelela took place.

I was so excited and at the same time, proud to see her. The first Malaysian to create such history ever for her beloved country, which Malaysian wouldn't be proud of her? Other great countries may see it as an ordinary achievement but for our people, it was a moment to celebrate and some even shed some tears of joy when Pandelela received her medal.

cutee :D
she deserved it! :)
even her signature looks great!
mum, sis & I with Pandelela Rinong.
I was so thrilled to see her but when I had a chance to stand next to her, I was truly nervous and nothing came out of my mouth except a 'thank you' when we're done taking photos with her. haha. so funny to talk about it with my family and they even said the same thing. lol. Starstruck maybe? Luckily the picture came out nice with my big smile (that's the biggest I could offer to any camera and even my selca. (=,=) )

She is really a humble person. Her friend even said she was a shy person and might still not used to her fame (according to what I read). From the way she talked and behaved the other day, I could see how down-to-earth she is. Way to go, Pandelela Rinong! We pray for  many great achievements from you in future and many more talented Malaysian athletes to follow your path.

Another thing that I was grateful for at the same time was seeing Borneo Love in person. WHOA. She was the emcee for Pandelela Greet and Meet-The-Fans Session. For almost a year being her follower on Blogger, pathetically that was my first time seeing her at an event out of many she had attended to do her job in Kuching. Ya laa, I was not always at home and even if I was, I did not go to malls or shopping complexes too often.

Borneo Love

an auntie blocked this view when i tried to capture another picture of her. =.=

kitak nampak gorgeous la kak.! :D

I felt like being a stalker for capturing a few pictures of Kak Ida. haha. Don't worry, purposely did it for this entry :)

Back to why I was glad to see her is that I like her posts on Blogger and most are informational and motivating. Plus her experiences help me to learn a lot about life. :) What surprised me more was how good looking and youthful body she has!

I could not be more grateful to see and meet those people that inspire me in my life. Back then in school, when people listed down the Prime Ministers, athletes and artistes as their most inspirational people or idols, I had a hard time to tell mine. As for me, people who inspire me are those who can moved me through their personal experiences and deeds and not necessary the public figures. I am motivated to do the things they did because some are what I can do and thus, make me happy to live everyday. :D

Oh, before I forgot, HELLOOOO SEPTEMBER! Two-third of 2012 has passed. Another one-third to create many awesome memories before the new year. What are you gonna do? Half of the final one-third is going to be a busy period of mine. Assignments, camping (next week), campus events and exams! Hopefully my skin will stay fine during those awful period. =,="

Alright then. I'm done here. Till the next post, see you! :)
